In 1888, Elisabeth Nietzsche - sister to the philosopher Friedrich - persuaded a group of German settlers to travel 5000km across the ocean to found a new country in the Paraguayan jungle.
She told a story about what Germany was, and what it could become.
They believed her.
Blood/Song/Soil follows the rise and collapse of this nationalistic utopia.
First the crops failed, then the animals drowned. This tiny community began to unravel under the weight of its own myth.
Elisabeth fled back to Germany, where she began reshaping her brother’s writings - rewriting the past to change the course of history.
Blood/Song/Soil is an epic, clay-caked horror story about fantasy, reality and history.
